Welcome to the charming mountain village of Geilo. Ever since 1880, the Geilo Hotel has welcomed mountain tourists to wonderful and active skiing days, fantastic nature and refreshing mountain air.
Geilo is an eldorado for the family, where you can safely take the children on their first rounds of fun and clear ski slopes. All children areas are located separately at the bottom of the ski slopes but at the same time close to larger lifts and slopes so that the whole family can have fun on skis. There are slopes and challenges regardless of your skiing skills and content-rich parks for those who like to do tricks on skis or snowboards. The center of Geilo is surrounded by ski slopes, with a total of 21 lifts and 45 pistes where you can use the same lift pass. The ski slopes on each side of the mountain are connected with the ski bus that runs all day, giving you access to a large selection of pistes without having to get in the car.
At the tops you get a beautiful view of Geilo and Hallingskarvet National Park. Feel free to try the Geilo High Five, a panoramic tour with interesting information signs and the best vantage points.
The center of Geilo itself is snow-sure at 800m above sea level with the ski season from November right through to April.
